The Centre Pompidou

A striking building in central Paris filled with equally fascinating art. We were lucky enough to be in Paris for the first Sunday in November and managed to get free tickets to the museum as part of a city wide initiative. It was very busy, but it’s such a huge place that it was easy to enjoy without huge crowds.
There was some great art, peculiar art, thought provoking art and some arguable art (but surely that’s the beauty of art - it’s in the eye of the beholder). It was a great place to spend a few hours exploring. There were also some great views from the 5th floor. My personal thoughts about the experience was although it was interesting, if I was paying full price for a ticket, I would want to see more focus on making the museum more interactive, as the guides were very basic and printed on paper.
Overall, it’s a great place to spend a few hours in Paris if you’re looking for something interesting and thought provoking to do.
