Rubell Museum DC

A thought-provoking and well laid out gallery in the heart of Southwest DC. They're exhibits ranging from grandiose and spectacular to disturbing and somber, and all points in between. The art is staged throughout the gallery on three floors including a below ground level. For the less agile there are elevators to take you throughout the building. We really enjoyed our time spent here!
We went to the park for a city organized fishing event on two consecutive weekends. My young sons both caught catfish. They had a ball! The program is catch and release and has become pretty popular so there were many families with their children learning how to fish on the pier and bridges. The instructors are patient and fun. My boys really enjoyed themselves.

A tiny spot of wilderness in Brookland. This park allows you to take a nature walk and observe a few artifacts of when it actually was a fort. It's great for just clearing your mind and getting a little fresh air while still in the city.
